North Adams SteepleCats (
www.steeplecats.com) of the prestigious New England Collegiate Baseball League (
www.necbl.com) seek a
Play-by-Play Broadcaster and Media Relations Assistant for the 2008 season. The successful candidate will serve as the voice of the organization, and will produce written content for a variety of formats, including the media guide, press releases, game day program, public address scripts, both during and before the season. All games will be broadcast live over the Internet through the services of Teamline (
www.teamline.cc), which is free to our audio-only listeners. A live video web cast is available for a fee. The Broadcaster will be required to attend all 42 regular season, exhibition, and post-season games, attend all team functions, and travel to and from away games with the team. The candidate will be required to broadcast games by themselves as well as with the opposing team’s broadcaster. The candidate will be expected to conduct player and coach interviews and set up and maintain the press box in preparation for each night’s contest. The media relations’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to, weekly press releases, biographical write-ups for each player, Player and Pitcher of the Week Award press releases, public address announcements, post-season articles, and feature articles and player bios in the 2008 media guide. The written material that is produced can and will be used on our web site, media guide, and distributed to a variety of media outlets.
