Jon is one of the nation's premiere sportscasting career builders. Since 2003, he has consulted sportscasters in the U.S. and Canada, including several network talents. Consulting services include talent coaching, career planning, job placement assistance, and teaching sportscasters how to create their own sportscasting opportunities.
Jon provides the sportscasting industry's premiere demo CD and resume services. He has produced portfolios for nearly 250 local and network sportscasters nationwide. Another several dozen clients are news talk hosts, anchors and DJs. Chelesnik's portfolios are proven to dramatically increase his clients' chances for employment.
Jon is passionate about helping sportscasters. He has helped organize five national sportscasting seminars and is the founder of the sportscasting curriculum at Palomar College in San Diego. He continues to teach the next generation of sportscasters at Palomar and as a popular speaker at broadcasting schools and sportscasting camps.
A host at ESPN Radio Network and XTRA Sports in San Diego, Jon has also done professional play-by-play in the Arena Football League and the International Basketball League. He also did TV at The Football Network.
