(March 31, 2011) The Oakland Athletics and Entercom's 95.7 The Wolf ("KBWF-FM") have agreed to terms for the station to acquire the radio broadcasts as the Flagship station of the Oakland A's Radio Network for the upcoming 2011-14 seasons.

95.7 The Wolf, a San Francisco-based FM country music station, owned by Entercom, is the exclusive country music station servicing the entire nine-county Bay Area and will broadcast all 162 regular season and all post-season games.

"We are delighted to enter this partnership with Entercom. 95.7 The Wolf is one of the most powerful FM signals in Northern California," said Ken Pries, the A's Vice President of Broadcasting and Communications. "The Wolf offers the A's an established Bay Area station which will reach many areas that our previous station could not, particularly Berkeley and the Oakland hills. It also has a repeater tower on Mt. Diablo that services the 680 corridor of Contra Costa County and Alameda County areas."

"What could go better with America's favorite pastime, baseball, than America's original music, country? We are honored to be working with such a winning franchise that is a part of the fabric of the Bay Area community. We look forward to broadcasting the Oakland A's for the next 4 years", said Dwight Walker, Vice President and Market Manager for Entercom San Francisco, the parent company of 95.7 The Wolf.

95.7 The Wolf, Today's Country, features a programming lineup of Fitz In The Morning, every weekday morning from 5:00 - 9:00 a.m., Micki Gamez (9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.), Joey V. (2:00 - 7:00 p.m.), and Ali Wilder (7:00 p.m. - Midnight). 95.7 The Wolf features core artists such as Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Brad Paisley.

The A's are currently the only Major League Baseball Team in California with an FM flagship station and today's announcement continues a recent trend of Major League Baseball teams featuring FM flagship stations. They include the Texas Rangers, Atlanta Braves, Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Pirates, among others.

"FM listenership continues to grow while AM stations continue to experience a decline," said Pries. "While the expanded reach of 95.7 The Wolf benefits all A's fans, it also gives us the opportunity to reach a younger demographic as well."

The Athletics' radio broadcast team returns intact for the 2011 season, featuring play-by-play announcers Ken Korach and Vince Cotroneo, as well as Ray Fosse, who contributes a daily interview segment during pre-game programming. Korach enters his 16th season in the A's radio booth, his sixth as the club's lead play-by-play voice, while Cotroneo begins his sixth year as an Oakland A's play-by-play announcer. Fosse, a former major league all-star catcher and dean of A's broadcasters, celebrates his 26th season with the Athletics' radio team.

Beginning Opening Night this Friday and throughout the regular season, 95.7 The Wolf broadcasts will start one hour and 25 minutes before first pitch with The Pre-Game Show with Chris Townsend featuring the veteran host. Immediately following Townsend's show is additional pre-game programming by Cotroneo, as well as "The Bob Geren Show" hosted by Korach and a player interview segment by Fosse. Following the broadcast team's post-game wrap-up, Townsend returns to host A's Talk, a show lasting approximately one hour and featuring interviews, clubhouse reaction and listener phone calls.

The A's become the third Major League Baseball team to partner with Entercom, joining the Boston Red Sox and Kansas City Royals. Entercom is also the radio broadcast partner of the Boston Celtics, New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Sabres, and San Jose Sharks. Entercom Communications Corp. (NYSE: ETM) is one of the five largest radio broadcasting companies in the United States, with a nationwide portfolio of 110 stations in 23 markets, including San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, Denver, Portland, Sacramento and Kansas City.

95.7 The Wolf's signal reaches beyond Santa Rosa to the north, Stockton to the east, and Santa Cruz/Morgan Hill to the south. Also part of the 2011 A's Radio Network are stations in Auburn (KAHI, 950 AM), Eureka (KATA, 1340 AM), Red Bluff (KBLF, 1490 AM), Mt. Shasta (KCWH, 102.3 FM), Modesto (KESP, 970 AM), Redding (KNRO, 1670 AM), Crescent City (KPOD, 1240 AM), King City (KRKC, 1490 AM), Sacramento (KSAC, 105.5 FM), Napa (KVON, 1440 AM), Winnemucca, Nev. (KWNA, 1400 AM) and Lakeport (KXBX, 1270 AM).
