(March 29, 2011) The Frisco RoughRiders today announced that all 140 regular season broadcasts, plus any additional playoff broadcasts, will be heard on 1630 KKGM throughout the 2011 season. The ‘Riders were previously on 1630 KKGM from 2006-2008.

The 2011 broadcast schedule begins on Sunday, April 3 when the Triple-A Round Rock Express play the RoughRiders at Dr Pepper Ballpark in the “Future Rangers” exhibition game. The second exhibition game between the ‘Riders and Express played on Tuesday, April 5 in Round Rock will also be aired.

“We’re excited to be back with KKGM,” commented RoughRiders President/General Manager, Scott Sonju. “Partnering with KKGM allows ‘Riders fans in Collin County and throughout Dallas-Fort Worth the ability to better follow the team, and it provides us a strong platform to promote our brand.”

RoughRiders play-by-play broadcaster Aaron Goldsmith returns for his second season as “Voice of the RoughRiders.” He will be joined this year by No. 2 Broadcaster/Studio Host, Brian Boesch. Each ‘Riders broadcast will feature a 30-minute pre-game and post-game show.

KKGM 1630 has a 10,000 watt signal and is owned by Mortenson Broadcasting Company. Mortenson owns radio station clusters serving targeted audiences in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, Kansas City, MO, and Huntington, WV.
