(March 25, 2011) NFL Films president Steve Sabol is neither down nor out as he prepares to begin treatment for a primary tumor on the left side of his brain.
In a note to NFL Films employees, Sabol, 68, wrote, "The doctors told me that there is no ‘Hail Mary’ treatment for my condition. To make progress I just have to ‘move the chains’ and keep making first downs (Merril Hoge will be happy with my gameplan)." He concluded, "Don’t give away my parking space." While Sabol works toward recovery, NFL Films’ latest project premieres Saturday, April 30, on NFL Network. The Top 100: Players of 2011 emulates the recent NFL’s Top 100 by counting down the top 100 active players, as selected by their peers.
