Cavs voice Joe Tait returning Sunday
(March 25, 2011) For the remainder of the home games, the Cavaliers will have Joe Tait back in his perch at Quicken Loans Arena.
Joe was given medical clearance Friday to resume his play-by-play. Tait has been recovering from heart surgery. Doctors at Cleveland Clinic replaced his arterial valve with a cow valve. Tait joked with WTAM 1100's Bill Wills last month that he now tells people to "eat more chicken." Tait fell ill in Houston October 10 and was hospitalized there with a pulmonary embolism. He suffered a second embolism when he got home, and that's when doctors found the problem with the valve. Tait says doctors told him he was lucky to survive the second embolism. Tait says he's been amazed by the outpouring of fan support. Last month, Tait said he hasn't missed a game and thinks the Cavaliers are a hot and cold team. He says one night they'll play hard against a better quality team, and forget what a basketball is on another night. We haven't forgotten Joe, and can't wait to hear him say, "It's basketball time at The Q!" Read more at
