(March 14, 2011) Harry Teinowitz will not return to the air Monday from suspension following details that have emerged in the police report after he was arrested on charges of DUI last Friday night.
An ESPN spokesman said late Friday afternoon Mr. Teinowitz will not appear on "The Afternoon Saloon" Monday on WMVP-AM 1000. His suspension, which began on Wednesday, was supposed to run through the rest of this week. "We plan to discuss and look into the new information that has emerged," said the spokesman. Citing a police report in a story in the Sun-Times, Mr. Teinowitz reportedly had marijuana residue on his shirt when he was arrested. He was not charged with possession of marijuana. The police also alleged Mr. Teinowitz was driving erratically, nearly hitting several vehicles and swerving across lanes of traffic. Read more at
