Dellacamera moving to FSC
(March 14, 2011) JP Dellacamera is moving from ESPN to Fox Soccer Channel to become play-by-play man for its Major League Soccer telecasts.
Dellacamera will work FSC's 14 Friday night telecasts, which are exclusive to the network. He had been paired with John Harkes for U.S. national team broadcasts on ESPN and worked the World Cup on ESPN Radio. He also is entering his second season as a broadcaster for the Philadelphia Union. Former U.S. national team star Eric Wynalda will host the pregame, halftime and postgame shows with Christopher Sullivan, his teammate on the 1990 U.S. World Cup team. Kyle Martino, another former American national team player, takes over from Sullivan as the color commentator, FSC said Thursday. Adrian Healey replaces Dellacamera as ESPN's MLS play-by-play man and will be paired with Harkes. Healey was one of ESPN's World Cup broadcasters last year. Alexi Lalas, Wynalda's former teammate, returns as ESPN's studio analyst while former FSC host Max Bretos will work in the ESPN studio and broadcast booth for several games. Recently retired New England forward Taylor Twellman will also be an ESPN game and studio analyst. Read more at
