(February 9, 2011) The Cubs announced plans Tuesday to broadcast — either on television, radio or via Internet radio — 32 of their 34 spring-training games.

The 2011 broadcast schedule will feature eight games televised by Cubs broadcast partners (six by WGN and two by Comcast SportsNet), 11 on the WGN Cubs radio network and 19 via Internet radio broadcast at www.cubs.com.

Cubs TV play-by-play announcer Len Kasper will join Mick Gillispie, radio broadcaster for Chicago’s Class AA Tennessee affiliate, for most of the Internet radio broadcasts. The first Internet broadcast will be at 2:05 p.m. March 1 against the San Francisco Giants in Scottsdale, Ariz.

WGN Radio will broadcast the Cubs’ first two games of the spring — Feb. 27 against the Oakland Athletics and Feb. 28 against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The first televised spring-training game will be on March 6 against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Ch. 9.
