(January 14, 2011) Westwood One signs a new deal that will keep it the exclusive network radio home of the NCAA championships, including the Division 1 men's basketball championship and the Final Four.

"We are proud to continue our very successful partnership with the NCAA," Westwood One President Rod Sherwood said. "This agreement ensures that Westwood One will continue to be America's preeminent nationwide radio sports broadcaster for years to come."

Westwood One Sports SVP/Exec. Producer Howard Deneroff added, "Delivering every bounce, basket, and buzzer beater of NCAA March Madness to our faithful listeners is something we cherish greatly. From Magic vs. Bird over three decades ago, to Butler's thrilling Cinderella run just last season, America's radio destination for college hoops has been, and will continue to be Westwood One."

With the deal, Westwood One will continue to exclusively broadcast the Division 1 men's basketball championship, Division 2 men's basketball championship, the Division 1 women' basketball championship and women's Final Four, the Division 1 men's hockey semifinals and championship, and the men's College World Series. Also, Westwood One will add new championships, including Division 1 men's lacrosse and the women's College World Series finals.
