After three years, Page out at ESPN HartfordSTAA
(January 7, 2011) After three years hosting "The Back Page", Jason Page is out as host of the popular afternoon-drive program on ESPN Radio 1410- Hartford and ESPN Radio 1300- New Haven.Page tells Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (S-T-Double-A) that his contract expired on Thursday and he was informed of the decision by management to terminate his employment after his broadcast ended at 6:30 PM. "When the option for my contract wasn't picked up a few months back, I knew this was a possibility." Page says management told him they wanted to go in a different direction and that no one thing led to the decision. "They are calling it amicable. Not even sure what that means but you just have to go with the flow." Page's show had solid PPM numbers in its first few months in the new Arbitron system and Page hopes to take the show somewhere else. _______________________
