Blackhawks extend Foley, Olzcyk
(December 31, 2010) The Chicago Blackhawks say they have extended the contracts of television play-by-play broadcaster Pat Foley and television game analyst Eddie Olczyk (OL'-zick) by three years.
The contract extensions announced Thursday will keep the 2009 Midwest Emmy Award winners on Blackhawks broadcasts through the 2013-14 National Hockey League season. Foley called Blackhawks games from 1981 to 2006, and returned to the booth for the 2008-09 season to partner with Olczyk on all games on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and WGN Channel 9. Olczyk is now in his fifth season as the television analyst for Blackhawks hockey. He played in 16 NFL seasons, including five with the Blackhawks. Read more at
