(December 28, 2010) It’s official: Marty Brennaman and Jeff Brantley will be back on Reds Radio for three more years, and soon Jim Kelch will be signed, sealed and delivered too. Marty and Cowboy tell me they’ve signed for three years. Reds VP Karen Forgus says Kelch will be wrapped up soon, but talks got sidetracked by preparation for Redsfest tonight and tomorrow, says Karen Forgus, Reds senior vice president of business operations.

Another three years for Marty (through 2013) will give him 40 years in the Reds Radio booth. Brantley came here four years ago to replace Steve Stewart. Kelch just completed his first full year with the Reds (and did a wonderful job with the lockerroom interviews after the Reds clinched in September.)

All three radio guys will be at Fox Sports Ohio Redsfest, plus TV announcers Thom Brennaman (tonight only) and Chris Welsh. But not Paul Keels. Is that significant? (Ohio State doesn’t play this weekend, so Keels doesn’t have a Buckeyes radio obligation.) Says Kate Buddenhagen, FSO communications manager: ”We have not made any decisions on Reds talent for next year, and we have not made any asks of any of our broadcasters to be at Redsfest. Those that are slotted to be there were probably asked by the team to attend.”
