(December 21, 2010) KREM 2 Sports Anchor Mike Boyle has been named the new radio voice of the Spokane Indians.
Boyle has worked as a sports anchor and reporter for KREM 2 since 2002 and has also served as the radio play-by-play voice for the Spokane Chiefs since that time. Boyle will continue to call the Chiefs’ hockey games next year as well as continue his sports anchor and reporter duties at KREM 2. Boyle will replace Hall of Fame broadcaster Bob Robertson in the Indians booth. Robertson served as the voice of the Indians for the past 12 years. Boyle previously served as the play-by-play announcer for the Tri-City Dust Devils in the Northwest League since 2006. "It is an honor to be able to work with the Indians," said Boyle. "No one can ever replace a legend like Bob Robertson in the broadcast booth, so I will do my best to just continue representing the Indians listeners with a great radio experience." Read more at
