(December 8, 2010) 101 ESPN – the #1 source for Sports Radio in St. Louis – announced that the sports/talk radio station has renewed the contract for “The Fast Lane” for the next three years, securing one of< St. Louis’ best performing afternoon drive programs thru December 2013.

The contract renewal includes the three Fast Lane hosts – Randy Karraker, Bob Ramsey and D’Marco Farr. The agreement is a multi-year extension, with the station controlling the third year option.

Together as a group and on the air since the station’s launch in January 2009, 101 ESPN’s “The Fast Lane” has become a dominant ratings performer in afternoon drive in St. Louis, consistently< performing between 3rd and 5th place with Men 25-54. The show was ranked in the top 5 for all 12< months in 2010.

101 ESPN Program Director Jason Barrett notes, “Randy, D’Marco and Rammer have grown as individuals the past two years, but more importantly they have really grown as a team. They have opened their minds to new ideas while developing great chemistry and trust, and their preparation and willingness to do the little things necessary outside of the show have played a big part in their ratings success. I am proud of what they have accomplished and look forward to working with them for the< next three years.”

Afternoon host Randy Karraker comments, “The chance to help continue building what we hope will be the number one station in our target demographic in St. Louis, and one of the rated sports stations in America, is incredibly exciting. We're lucky to have the support from management and staff that we< do at 101 ESPN.” Karraker continues, “And, now that the new contract is signed, I can say that I would come in and talk sports with D'Marco Farr and Bob Ramsey for free. Not many people have as much fun at their jobs as we do."

Co-host Bob Ramsey notes, “"Twenty years ago I was fortunate to be involved in what many thought< was a foolhardy venture…all-sports radio. We talked in those days about ratings, competing and< winning in the market. For many years it was a pipe dream. The opportunity to be involved as the format goes to the next level is truly a blessing.” Ramsey adds, “Now working to become the best is a real possibility and a sustainable goal. To be considered a part of this 101 ESPN team and in particular work with the guys on The Fast Lane is truly an honor".

The other Fast Lane co-host D’Marco Farr shares his thoughts on the contract renewal,< commenting, “I’m very happy to be continuing my stay with 101 ESPN. What we have done in our short time has been more than we could have imagined. The team that our program director Jason Barrett has assembled is strong, and it’s a testament to our drive to succeed that this team is staying together for many years to come. As good as our first two years have been I am excited in knowing that it will only get better from here.”

According to Vice President and Bonneville St. Louis Market Manager John Kijowski, “The Fast Lane hosts Randy Karraker, Bob Ramsey and D’Marco Farr have been the foundation of 101 ESPN since our launch in January 2009. After the past two years of continuous ratings success, Bonneville International’s management is very pleased that we’ve re-signed The Fast Lane show, and we’re< looking forward to the next three years of continued growth in ratings and revenues.
