(November 9, 2010) Family, friends and Gamecock Nation said their goodbyes to longtime South Carolina broadcaster Bob Fulton.

Hundreds attended funeral services for Fulton in Lexington Tuesday.

He stepped away from the microphone in 1995 after four decades of calling Gamecock sports.

State Newspaper Sports Reporter Ron Morris says he considered Fulton a part of his family.

"He was Bob, the guy who always called my wife Kim, dear," Morris remembers. "He was Bob, the guy who hung the nickname slash on my son Luke. he was also the same guy who joined us for Sunday brunches and Thanksgiving dinners."

Fulton, the Voice of the Gamecocks, died last week at his Lexington home at age 89.
