(September 28, 2010) Josh Heller, the 2009 ECHL Broadcaster of the Year, has been hired as radio voice of the Albany Devils.
Heller, 25, spent two seasons with the ECHL’s South Carolina Stingrays, with whom he won the broadcast award, and spent last season calling home games for the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye. Heller is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston. He also has done work for the Buckeye Cable Sports Network, a cable outfit in Toledo, and was co-host of a sports-talk show on the Fox Sports Radio affiliate in Toledo. The Devils will be carried on WTMM (104.5 FM) when there aren’t conflicts with the Yankees and postseason baseball. When there are conflicts, the broadcast will be available via the Internet.
