STAA's Mike Ridaught new voice of UNF basketballPress Release
(September 23, 2010) The University of North Florida Athletic Department announced an agreement with WJSJ-FM (105.3) to serve as the “Flagship Station” and “Official Radio Partner of UNF Athletics” for the upcoming 2010-11 season.
WJSJ-FM will broadcast all of the Osprey men’s basketball games along with a selected group of regular season UNF baseball games and postseason contests. “We are excited and thrilled to be teaming with WJSJ-FM for our radio broadcasts,” said North Florida Athletic Director Lee Moon. “We feel like WJSJ-FM provides us with a larger broadcast platform and much larger coverage in the Jacksonville area. As we continue our growth at the NCAA Division I level, we felt like this was a move that fit perfectly with our commitment to showcasing our athletic programs. We look forward to a strong and successful relationship with WJSJ-FM.” In addition to game broadcasts, WJSJ-FM will serve as the host station for a weekly UNF Coaches Show. Time, date and details for the UNF Coaches Show will be announced at a later date. STAA client Mike Ridaught (pictured) will serve as the “Voice of the Ospreys” and handle all broadcast responsibilities for UNF. The UNF Men’s Basketball team opens the 2010-11 season with an exhibition game against Edward Waters on Nov. 4. The Ospreys begin the regular season Nov. 12 at Florida State. _______________________
