Host makes controversial comments about coach
(September 22, 2010) Michigan State Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio made the call of the year Saturday by faking a field goal in overtime and throwing a touchdown pass to win the game.
Notre Dame fans were stunned and upset, but one radio host took it just a bit too far. South Bend sports radio host Mike Patrick said something spiritual happened after Notre Dame's loss. He was referring to Dantoino, who suffered a mild heart attack after the thrilling win over Notre Dame. Patrick said, "God is going to get you," when referring to Dantoio's condition. Patrick contended that the referees missed time running out and Michigan State shouldn't have been allowed to carry out the fake. Patrick hasn't apologized for his comments, which were making the rounds of the Internet blogosphere Monday and Tuesday. Read more at
