(September 17, 2010) The Evansville IceMen and BLS Entertainment INC have jointly announced the completion of a one-year contract deal that will make Evansville's WEOA-AM 1400 the new radio flagship home for all of the IceMen live play-by-play game broadcasts.

Also included in the new contractual agreement, will be an IceMen daily report, "The IceMen Hockey Update," as well as the IceMen's own Monday night hockey show, "IceMen Live."

For the upcoming 2010-11 CHL "Super League" season, all games played by the Evansville IceMen, pre-season, regular season and playoff games, home and away, in their entirety, will be aired with all of the play-by-play action on WEOA-AM 1400. All IceMen game broadcasts will consist of a one-half hour Pre-Game Show as well as "IceMen Star of the Game Show," which will follow all home game originations and the IceMen Post Game Show with the latter program being featured after all IceMen games.

Terri Ficorelli, a 37-year pro hockey broadcast veteran, will call the play-by-play and host the team's special programming.

"We are excited to be the flagship station for the defending league champions Evansville IceMen and to offer their many, many loyal fans a top quality radio broadcast," said WEOA general manager Ed Lander. "Last year's success of the franchise and recent move to the IHL/CHL ‘Super League' makes this an excellent time to be entering into a partnership with the IceMen organization."

WEOA will be offering streaming live on-line for all of the IceMen radio broadcasts and the Monday night radio show.

The official game broadcasts' debut on WEOA-AM 1400 will be their pre-season opening contest on Friday Oct. 8 when they travel to Independence, Missouri to launch a two-game series in as many nights against CHL Turner Division rivals, the Missouri Mavericks.

The first-ever regular season broadcast will be Saturday, Oct. 16 from Dayton where the IceMen will tackle the Gems in a 6:30 pm CDT date with broadcast time at 6:00 pm.

WEOA has been the Evansville home for IU football and men's basketball for several years including the "Inside IU Football with Bill Lynch" and "Inside Indiana Basketball with Tom Crean" coaches' shows.
