Rich Eisen takes new role at NFL Network
(September 7, 2010) The NFL Network will formally announce Tuesday that its most prominent face, Rich Eisen, will this season host its four-hour Sunday morning NFL pregame show. Eisen replaces Spero Dedes, who will call some CBS NFL games.
Eisen, through a new multiyear NFLN deal, will continue to host NFLN's Sunday afternoon highlights show. But he'll no longer work its Sunday night wrapup. "I loved that show more than any other in my career," said Eisen Monday. "But there's only so many hours in a day." Eisen will also produce weekly podcasts, the first-ever for the NFL's website.
