(August 20, 2010) The Cincinnati Reds will be back on Louisville-area radio starting Saturday.
Joe Zerhusen, the radio broadcast/affiliate manager for the Cincinnati Reds, said the team has reached an agreement to simulcast the games on WNDA-1570 in Clarksville and WTSZ-1600 in Eminence. Their first broadcast will be Saturday (first pitch 10:10p.m. EDT) when the Reds play at the Los Angeles Dodgers. Reds games have not been broadcast in the Louisville area since WQKC-1450 and WLCL-93.9 went off the air Aug.2. “Louisville is one of our bigger markets,” Zerhusen said. “It's very important that we have some presence in that market. We will continue to make sure that the fans in Louisville have a chance to hear the Reds games.” David Smith, the vice president and general manager of WNDA and WTSZ, said “a small handful of games” might not be broadcast because of his station's commitment to broadcast Indianapolis Colts games.
