(August 17, 2010) Kurt Warner is taking over for Trent Green again, this time as a part-time analyst on Fox NFL regional telecasts instead of as the Rams' starting quarterback.

The announcement came Monday, 11 years to the month after the Rams made their move with Warner after Green was injured in an exhibition game. The unproven Warner then led the team on its improbable run to the Super Bowl title at odds of as much as 250-1.

The plan is for Warner to work only a handful of games, as Green did for Fox last season, on Sundays when Fox has a heavy schedule of telecasts to produce. He would work with either play-by-play announcer Chris Myers or Chris Rose.

The only contest announced for Warner to do is the New Orleans-Arizona game on Oct. 10, when Fox shows seven NFL games -- the first time this season it will have more than six.

Warner also is scheduled to do the commentary on NFL Network's telecast of the Arena League championship game Friday night, working with play-by-play announcer and native St. Louisan Fran Charles, and is scheduled to appear on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars'' next season.
