This joint partnership came to fruition as a result of the inherent strengths and the positive attributes each organization possesses, as well as the cross-promotional opportunities available for each media outlet to build their brand image.

According to Bonneville St. Louis Radio Group Vice President and Market Manager John Kijowski, “Bonneville St. Louis is thrilled to announce this unique partnership with KMOV. These two dynamic sports departments have teamed up to bring St. Louis sports fans the most extensive sports broadcasts and coverage available electronically.”

Kijowski continues, “You can get the scores anywhere. But with the 101 ESPN and KMOV partnership, the full staff of sports experts on both stations can break it down for listeners and fans, providing in-depth insights and analysis like never before.”

The broadcast partnership kicks off on Monday, August 30, 2010 with the debut of a new KMOV/News 4 feature on the radio station’s PM Drive show “The Fast Lane”. News 4’s Sports Director Steve Savard will provide daily updates Monday through Friday at 5:45 pm via the “News 4 Sports Live from the 101 ESPN Studios”.

101 ESPN Hosts, Reporters and Analysts will now be featured on KMOV/News 4 for added insight and opinion on the day’s top stories, and particularly during the TV station’s weekend and specialty sports programming. The first project the media team will tackle is the St. Louis Rams pre-season special that is scheduled to air from 8:00 to 9:00pm on Wednesday, September 8, 2010.

101 ESPN Program Director Jason Barrett comments, “Steve Savard is already a valued member of the 101 ESPN team through his PBP responsibilities as the ‘Voice of the Rams’. This partnership with KMOV was a natural progression from working with Steve on Rams Radio.”

Barrett continues, “101 ESPN is where the opinion leaders for St Louis sports reside, and this is ultimately providing another platform for our broadcasting talent to showcase their abilities, by contributing to the top notch sportscasts on News 4.“

In order to provide KMOV/News 4 complete access to the 101 ESPN team of sports radio talent and team, Bonneville St. Louis is establishing a special KMOV video studio on-site at their offices, located at the City Place office/retail complex in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
