ESPN/ABC unveils football rosters
(August 6, 2010) With its college football announcers set to sweat through their TV pancake makeup swiveling between cameras at two-a-days, ESPN/ABC Thursday revealed its on-air roster.
With ESPN inheriting all Bowl Championship Games this season, its top on-air teams — led by Brent Musburger/Kirk Herbstreit — remain intact, except for Rece David replacing Chris Fowler on Thursday prime-time games. Tweaks this season include Brian Griese— Bob's son — getting his first full-season schedule as a game analyst, working ESPN2's noon ET Saturday games. NFL analyst Herm Edwards expands his on-air role to calling ESPNU college games in Saturday prime time. ESPN rookies include Mike Bellotti, an ex-Oregon coach working ESPN and ABC West Coast games, and Danny Kanell, an ex-Florida State quarterback working ESPNU games. Read more at
