The Baltimore Sun reported the regional cable network and the Ravens were unable to reach an agreement for continued carriage of the team, which ends a partnership beginning in 2006.

"We’ve tried to work an arrangement with MASN along the lines with the arrangement we have had for the past four years and we’re unable to work it out," Ravens president Richard Cass told the Sun. "So, we’re pursuing alternatives."

MASN will not air this season’s four preseason games along with a batch of shows about the team, including a live post-game show.

The Ravens’ first preseason game Aug. 12 against the Carolina Panthers will air on ESPN and Channel 13/WJZ. The remaining three games will air on Channel 11/WBAL, but as yet, there’s no replacement for MASN’s TV coverage in the Washington D.C., Eastern Shore, and Harrisburg markets.

"This sometimes happens with the programming deals," MASN spokesman Todd Webster told the Baltimore Business Journal. "MASN remains a strong supporter of the Ravens."

According to the Sun, the next step for the Ravens is to find a home for all of their weekday programs that including "One Winning Drive," "The John Harbaugh Show," "Game Plan," "Ravens Report" and "Purple Passion."

An announcement for a new Ravens preseason network is expected later this week. Could it be Comcast SportsNet, which just started a Baltimore sports news Web site, CSNbaltimore.com?
