(August 2, 2010) Central Michigan University has announced its radio network broadcast team for the 2010-11 season.
Don Chiodo, a five-year veteran of the CMU Sports Network, will handle play-by-play for football and men's basketball. He will be joined on football broadcasts by color commentator Brock Gutierrez and sideline reporter Justin Hoff, who also will serve as the host of the pregame show. Hoff will call play-by-play for women's basketball, baseball and softball radio broadcasts. Chiodo hosted the CMU Sports Network's football pregame and halftime shows during the 2009 season, a role he also filled from 1996-99. A 1990 CMU graduate, Chiodo also has provided color commentary for select CMU basketball broadcasts over the past two seasons. Gutierrez returns to the CMU Sports Network for his second season. A 2007 inductee into the CMU Athletics Hall of Fame, Gutierrez was a three-year starter who earned All-Mid-American Conference first team honors as a center in 1995. He played 10 seasons in the National Football League with the Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions. Hoff is the newest member of the network team. Along with his radio responsibilities, Hoff also will host interviews and features on the CMU Sports Zone, one of the nation's largest libraries of free online video content. _______________________
