(July 9, 2010) The Cincinnati Cyclones have named Nick Brunker Director of Public Relations/Broadcasting. The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate for the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators.

A lifelong Cincinnati resident, Brunker graduated from Sycamore High School where he rounded out a ten year hockey career. He attended Miami University and graduated in 2006 with a B.A. in Mass Communications. While a student at Miami, he called games for the RedHawks hockey team for four years. He also served as broadcaster for the now defunct Toledo Storm hockey team for the 2006-07 season.

In addition, Brunker has called college football, college basketball, arena football and for the Reds’ affiliate single A Dragons baseball team. Brunker most recently worked as a sports radio host at Clear Channel radio.

“We welcome Nick to the front office team and look forward to what his enthusiasm for promoting Cyclones hockey will bring to our fans,” said Kristin Ropp Vice-President and G.M. of Cincinnati Cyclones and U.S. Bank Arena.

“Having been a Cyclones fan my whole life it is a lifelong dream come true to be able to work for the team and carry on the championship tradition,” Brunker added.
