Steve Davis to 105.7 mornings
(July 6, 2010) Back in mid-June, DCRTV tipped you that Steve Davis, former sports anchor for Channel 45/WBFF and WBAL radio, would soon be paired with Ed Norris to give mornings on Baltimore sports talker WJZ-FM, 105.7 The Fan, more of a sports feel. Well, today, July 6, Davis debuts with Norris on 105.7 with the new "Norris And Davis In The Morning" show.
Norris, a former Baltimore city top cop, frequently talks politics and other non-sports topics, and CBS suits in Charm City and at the HQ in NYC want more sports topics on the show. And, we hear that if the morning show's numbers don't rise soon, Norris could be gone from 105.7 by fall. Also, as DCRTV predicted last month, Ken Wienman is gone from the 105.7 morning show and is being sent back to nights. DCRTV already told you that Norris's producer and sidekick, Maynard Edwards, was given his pink slip back in early June. WJZ-FM flipped to sports talk in late 2008 and its ratings have been sagging of late. Read more at
