(July 2, 2010) You think you can talk sports?
Sirius XM's Christopher "Mad Dog" Russo is on the hunt for the next great sports talk host, and he's ready to give anyone and everyone a look. Through July 30, entrants can send in a five-minute audition CD. In early August, the Mad Dog staff will sort through the entries and select up to five finalists who will come to New York City later that month to audition. Listeners can then vote online for the top two finalists, who will be brought back on Aug. 30 to host a live two-hour show on Mad Dog Radio. Mad Dog will select the winner live on the air in early September. The victor wins a week of on-air training, followed by the opportunity to host his or her own national sports talk show – eight three-hour live shows this fall on Mad Dog Radio. Russo joined Sirius XM Radio in 2008 to headline the national all-sports talk channel (Sirius channel 123 and XM channel 144). Go to sirius.com/maddogradio for contest rules and entry details.
