Ron Franklin re-signs with ESPNCourtesy

(June 30, 2010) Sportscaster Ron Franklin, who last year complained about his ESPN assignments and said he was considering retiring in April, recently signed a new two-year contract with ESPN, a network spokesman said.
Franklin, 68, an Austin, Texas, resident, will continue to cover college basketball and football for the network. Last year Franklin and analyst Fran Fraschilla were replaced on the Big 12 Conference's "Big Monday" basketball telecasts by Brent Musburger and Bob Knight. Thank you to
