T-Wolves to host interactive draft partyPress Release
(June 22, 2010) The Wolves will host their annual draft party on Thursday, June 24 at the team's practice facility inside of Target Center's Lifetime Fitness Center -- highlighted by Draft Live 2010, a unique, live interactive broadcast. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with the draft starting at 6:30 p.m. Fans should enter the practice facility through the doors on Sixth Street and First Avenue.
Draft Live 2010, hosted by Timberwolves.com editor/writer Jonah Ballow and Timberwolves radio studio host and STAA client John Focke, will feature an information-packed show focusing on the Wolves' three first-round draft picks and providing a live look into the Wolves War Room throughout the night. In addition, Ballow and Focke will answer questions from fans that are submitted via timberwolves.com, Twitter (@MNTimberwolves) and Facebook (timberwolvesfacebook.com). Wolves announcers Tom Hanneman, Jim Petersen and Alan Horton will also stop by to provide their analysis of the draft, and there will be video reaction from Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations David Kahn following the Wolves' draft picks. There will be social networking opportunities for fans in attendance as computers will be set up in the practice facility to allow fans to submit questions. Also, a video booth will be available for fans to shoot a video welcoming the new draft picks to Minnesota and directly upload it to YouTube. Fans attending the draft party can play interactive games for prizes and purchase food and beverages. For those unable to attend the draft party, Draft Live 2010 will stream on timberwolves.com, ustream, and the Timberwolves Facebook page. This Wednesday, the Wolves will be relaunching WolvesNation.com, a separate website that takes social networking to a new level. This site serves as a one-stop shop for all Wolves-related social media/networking information. Included on WolvesNation.com are the most recent videos, photos and news that relates to the Wolves from Flickr, FanChatter, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and more. WolvesNation.com also includes links to top blog sites and all official Wolves social networking sites. _______________________
