(June 21, 2010) The May ratings have arrived, and (see if you've heard this before), it was a very good month for KTCK-AM (1310) The Ticket. In the coveted men 25-54 demographic, The Ticket was No. 2 in the market behind only KLNO-FM (94.1), a Hispanic station.

KLNO averaged an 8.2 share for the month. The Ticket scored a 7.7 share. As for others in the sports talk universe, ESPN-FM (103.3) ranked 18th with a 2.6 share and KRLD-FM (105.3) The Fan was 22nd at 1.6.

If you believe Monday-Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., is a better gauge because of the higher-profile hosts who work those shifts, the scoreboard reads: The Ticket 10.1, ESPN 2.9, The Fan 1.8.

The Ticket handily won every weekday hour from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. It was most dominant in morning drive when Dunham and Miller attracted double digit shares. The Musers averaged a 13.7 share for their four hours. Bob Sturm and Dan McDowell at noon was the only other hour that posted a double-digit share.

Galloway and Co. posted ESPN's best hour of the day at 5 p.m. when it attracted a 4.4 share. The Fan's best hour came at 1 p.m. when the now defunct Richie Whitt-Newy Scruggs show scored a 2.8.
