(June 1, 2010) Keep an eye out for former WKRN-2 sports anchor Sara Walsh. You may see her in your living room, maybe your kitchen or perhaps in your family room. Starting Tuesday, you will be able to catch her anchoring ESPNews.

"I just randomly sent them a tape, not knowing if they were looking for anyone or not,'' said the just-turned 32-year-old native of Tampa, Fla. "They called me, I went up for an interview and they hired me. I just got really lucky.''

Walsh has spent the past two weeks getting accustomed to the way ESPN works.

"They do things very different. It's unlike any place I have ever been, but the people have been abnormally nice to me. They bend over backward to help me.''

She is still getting used to passing people at work that she has watched for years on ESPN. She recently saw soccer legend Pele.

"It is not as intimidating as you might think," she said. "As you see people in the cafeteria, or the hotel I'm staying in, you say, 'Oh, so that's who they are.' It's very cool.''

After leaving Nashville, Walsh covered the Redskins for the CBS affiliate in Washington, D.C. A former soccer player at the University of North Florida, Walsh still misses Nashville and the friends she made while working here.

"I'm trying to find a way to work at ESPN and live in Nashville,'' she joked. "I will always miss Nashville.''
