ESPN launching shows for younger fansCourtesy
Hudson Valley News
(May 26, 2010) You have to give credit to ESPN for staying with the times and embracing the potential of new media.
A year from now, the college-sports channel ESPNU will launch “U:Nite,” a nightly show that will cover sports and pop culture, with feature segments on gaming, technology and music. ESPN will increase its coverage of high school sports. The company already has a magazine called ESPN RISE, and a website will be utilized for more content. And before the pros and colleges can kick off the season, ESPN will televise top showcase high school games from around the nation from Aug. 27-29. Let me know when “ESPN Middletown” starts up. _______________________
