Suitor, a former Saskatchewan Roughriders safety who has been a TSN football analyst since 1995, will soon be part of a weekly show on Rawlco Radio. Suitor and Rawlco sportscaster Jamie Nye will be featured on The Green Zone every Saturday afternoon. The one-hour show is scheduled to debut June 5, tentatively at 1 p.m., and air year-round.

"The football fans in the province are as passionate as any in North America, and the goal of this show is to engage those fans in discussion and, at times, debate on the hottest topics in the CFL and other leagues and sports,'' said the Vancouver-based Suitor, who played for the Roughriders from 1984 to 1994.

"I have often said that every time I go back to the province, I feel like I am returning home. I arrived in Regina as a kid in my early 20s and was very fortunate to be able to play for the Riders -- a team so rich in history -- for my entire 11-year football career, and during that time got married and began raising a young family in the city. Both my kids were born in the province and it feels great to be returning, even if it is in a small way with this weekly show.''

Suitor previously worked for Rawlco in the early 1990s as a sportscaster with CJME and its sister station, Z99. The Green Zone is to air on CJME (980 on the AM dial) and Saskatoon-based CKOM (650).
