(May 12, 2010) MediaTech Institute and Game On Sports Productions of Dallas are teaming up to produce new programming on the Sports Byline USA Radio Network. Premiered on May 1, 2010, “The Legends of Sport with Tim Brown” is a new one-hour sports talk show hosted by NFL legend and former Notre Dame Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown. Brown spent 17 years with the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders/Tampa Bay Buccaneers, during which he established himself as one of the NFL's most prolific wide receivers. His fame and success with the Raiders organization earned him the title of “Mr. Raider” and led to a nomination to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010.

“The Legends of Sport with Tim Brown” will feature one-on-one conversations with famous legends past and present in the world of sports and entertainment. Former Dallas Cowboy Everson Walls and former Dallas Cowboys vice president of player personnel Gil Brandt spoke with Brown on the show’s debut broadcast. “I love this type of show,” says Brown, who is also a veteran broadcaster. “This is the type of show that I prefer to do rather than bantering with callers. It also gives me a chance to voice my opinions as well as get my subjects to open up and feel free to say what is on their mind.”

Thomas Bailey, veteran sports analyst and former sports talk show host and President of Game On Sports Productions of Dallas, is the executive producer of the show. Past and present students from MediaTech Institute are handling all of the production work and the broadcasts are all recorded at MediaTech’s expansive facilities in Las Colinas. Students and graduates of the MediaTech Institute Recording Arts program are producing the show in two 26-week segments. Bailey says this of his youthful production team, “I have been involved in sports broadcasting and producing radio and television shows for 30 years. I have to say, I have been very impressed in working with the MediaTech crew who are extremely professional, have a good sense of direction, and they really know what they are doing,” Bailey said.

“We are very excited to add Tim Brown to our programming lineup. His name alone will attract big name guests and that’s putting it mildly. His knowledge and reputation as a straight up guy is something many people in the sports world respect and we are looking forward to a long relationship,” states Darren Peck, president of Sports Byline USA.

“The Legends of Sport with Tim Brown” will air twice each Saturday on the Sport Byline USA Radio Network, one of the most popular networks in the country. Show times are tentatively schedule for 10 a.m. Central Standard Time and an encore at 9 p.m. Central Standard Time. The show can also be heard at www.sportsbyline.com. The show will reach more than 2 million listeners per week on nearly 200 radio stations and can be heard internationally on American Forces Network, iTunes, US and World Airways, and Sirius XM radio.
