Shan Shariff joins 610 Sports Radio in KCPress Release
(April 7, 2010) 610 Sports Radio, The Official Station for the Kansas City Royals, Kansas Jayhawks and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series announced Shan Shariff as their new mid-day host. New School with Shan Shariff will run weekdays from 9a-11a starting Monday, April 12th.
”I have been waiting for this opportunity my entire career,” said Shariff. KCSP is clearly becoming a major player and I cannot wait to start entertaining one of the most passionate sports markets in the country.” Shariff comes to Kansas City from Cambridge, Maryland where he was the Program Director and Afternoon Show host at ESPN Radio 1240 AM. He also hosted a weekend show on sports-talk WJFK-FM in Washington D.C. and did freelance work for ESPN Radio 1300 in Baltimore. “We’ve found a very fresh and creative voice to bring into Kansas City,” says 610 Sports Radio Program Director Ryan Maguire. “Shan’s unique insight into the local sports scene will make for must-listen radio. His opinions are hard hitting and thought-provoking. After each show, he will leave his audience talking.” _______________________
