Hofstra, KU, PSU highlight updated AA listSTAA
(April 7, 2010) Penn State University, Hofstra, Northwestern and the University of Kansas highlight the updated 2010 STAA All-America rankings of the nation's top collegiate sports broadcasters. Each university has two representatives.
Among newcomers on the updated list are seniors Grant Tunkel from the University of Southern California and Kyle Campbell at the University of South Florida. The STAA All-America program recognizes the most outstanding collegiate radio sportscasters in the country and encourages collegiate sportscasters nationwide to strive to achieve their best. Each June, the nation's most outstanding collegiate sportscaster is presented the Jim Nantz Award, named in honor of the award winning CBS sports broadcaster. In addition, the top five runners-up will be awarded STAA All America status. Applications for the 2010 Jim Nantz Award will be accepted through May 22, 2010. There will be one more update before the June 4th announcement of the final rankings, 2010 STAA All-Americans and 2010 Jim Nantz Award winner. _______________________
