(March 31, 2010) The Raiders will be switching radio stations in 2010, moving to KFRC 1550-AM and KITS Live 105-FM after having spent the past five seasons at KSFO (560-AM).
KFRC and KITS are part of a group of stations owned by Compass Media Networks. "We tried to keep the Raiders, we wanted to keep the Raiders," said Anthony Licciardi, the director of marketing for KSFO. "Ultimately, they went with a syndicator, and the syndicator found them the best offer." Said Raiders chief executive Amy Trask: "The Raider organization is delighted to announce an exciting new relationship with Compass Media Networks, pursuant to which Raider games will be broadcast in the Bay Area as well as a broad affiliate network in California and beyond. We thank KSFO for its support of the Raiders ... and wish it well." KSFO opted against matching the offer or entering into a bidding war, Licciardi said by phone. _______________________
