Monaco, Musselman to call NBDL on Versus
Press Release
(March 17, 2010) VERSUS will air its eighth NBA Development League game on Saturday, March 20, at 11:00 p.m. ET, with the Erie BayHawks hosting the Dakota Wizards.

VERSUS’ presentation of the NBA D-League provides fans with greater access to the game and its players through microphones worn by players and coaches; in-game interviews; locker room access including pregame, halftime and postgame speeches; and innovative camera angles. All NBA D-League action on VERSUS is presented in HD.

Assigned Memphis Grizzlies guard Lester Hudson and the NBA D-League playoff-bound Dakota Wizards travel to Erie, Pennsylvania to take on Missouri alumn Blake Ahearn, West Virginia product Mike Gansey and the BayHawks. Hudson, a rookie out of Tennessee-Martin who has been with the Grizzlies since Feb. 28, has led the team to an impressive 5-1 record while Ahearn, who became a BayHawk by way of a trade with the Bakersfield Jam on March 2, has been equally impactful, leading his new team to a 4-1 record since his arrival. The teams have tangled twice before this season, splitting the games and knotting the season series at one win apiece.

Eric Musselman is joined in the booth by play-by-play announcer Andrew Monaco.

Musselman currently serves as an NBA analyst for Fox Sports Radio and as a color commentator for college basketball games on Comcast Sports Net California. Musselman also has extensive NBA coaching experience serving as the former head coach of the Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors and as the former assistant coach for four NBA teams. Monaco is currently the TV and radio announcer for the WNBA’s San Antonio Silver Stars, the play-by-play announcer for select San Antonio Spurs telecasts and, in the past, has served as host, play-by-play voice and sideline reporter for the NBA’s Orlando Magic and Miami Heat. Simon, a former NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player and NBA player, currently serves as an analyst for Pac-10 men’s basketball on FSN.
