Former Ducks voice Madsen returns to KNXPress Release
(March 17, 2010) Award winning sports anchor, Chris Madsen returned to the airwaves at KNX 1070 Wednesday morning working alongside Jack Popejoy, Vicky Moore and Dick Helton.
Madsen, whose captivating delivery and commitment to the community earned him the reputation for being one of the nicest men in broadcasting during his nine-year run as the original TV play-by-play announcer of the Anaheim Ducks, made a smooth transition to radio at KNX 1070--Los Angeles/Orange County for four years, through September 2009. Madsen has spent the past six months working on the re-write of his critically acclaimed book "Joshua Shoots! He Scores!" At the time of its paperback release in 2003, OC Register Sports Columnist Randy Youngman declared, "I predict it is a movie waiting to be made." Interest is high on the property to go from print, to screenplay, to film, as Madsen works under the tutelage of distinguished Book Doctor Henry Bloomstein. You can catch Chris Madsen's sports updates every half-hour this Friday morning starting at 5:20. _______________________
