Washington Examiner
(March 9, 2010) Nationals fans have been waiting for this day since the final out of the final game last October. After a very exciting off season baseball fans are looking at a much improved Washington team.Meanwhile the team returned to WFED-AM 1500 yesterday with the familiar broadcast crew of Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler return for their fifth season together. The duo work quite well together and they have a very loyal following all up and down the Mid-Atlantic region. Slowes with his great sense of humor, his ability to tell a great story, his play by play skills and his signature calls "Bang Zoom go the Fireworks," followed by, "A Curly 'W' is in the Books" are part of the Washington sports vocabulary. Jageler has grown as a broadcaster and he now is hitting his stride. He provides quality play by play with just the right amount of stats to keep the games moving. New this season will be the addition of the Washington Examiner's Phil Wood During the regular season, Slowes and Dave Jageler will once again co-host 'Nats On Deck,' which, new this year, will feature a Manager's Show with Jim Riggleman. The post-game show, aka Nats Talk Live will be hosted primarily by the Washington Examiner's Phil Wood (also new this season). Nats Talk Live airs after every home game. Craig Heist and George Wallace will also see hosting duty on Nats Talk Live and Nats Insider (the one-hour weekly magazine show). Nats Insider will be hosted primarily by Byron Kerr. _______________________
