Eskimos to name new voice shortlyCourtesy
Edmonton Journal
(March 1, 2010) The Edmonton Eskimos and Corus radio are expected to get together, likely early this week, to announce the replacement for legendary football play-by-play man Bryan Hall.
Among those in the running are current analyst Dave Campbell, Global TV’s John Sexsmith and former Oilers analyst Morley Scott, who is presently handling play-by-play duties and media relations with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League. Sources say the Eskimos are backing Sexmsith, but the bottom line is the successful candidate will be a Corus employee, expected to handle other duties which could open the door for Campbell, who is already on staff, with Scott as his analyst. All three were interviewed in the past two weeks and the announcement could come as early as Monday or Tuesday. _______________________
