Senators add Tymann to broadcast teamPress Release
(February 19, 2010) For the fifth season in a row, the Harrisburg Senators will be heard on 1460 AM, The Ticket. All 142 games will be carried live on The Ticket and on the Senators website. Long-time Senators broadcaster Terry Byrom will call every game, home and away, for the sixth consecutive year. Newcomer Matt Tymann joins the Sens broadcast team in 2010 and will call all 71 home games, as well as select road contests.
Tymann has been in baseball broadcasting for three years, and spent last season with the Camden (NJ) Riversharks of the Atlantic League. In the summer of 2008, he called games for the Herndon (VA) Braves of the Cal Ripken Sr. League. He has also worked as a sports intern for WGN Radio in Chicago. Tymann is a 2008 graduate of GeorgetownUniversity, where he served as the sports director for the student radio station in his senior year. "Working with the Senators will be great," said Tymann. "I'm excited to add a second voice to our broadcasts, and to learn as much from Terry as possible." _______________________
