River Cats reunite with Clear Channel
(February 10, 2010) The Sacramento River Cats and Clear Channel Radio-Sacramento have announced a new, two-year broadcast agreement to make Talk 650 KSTE the exclusive broadcast home of all Sacramento River Cats games. The agreement, which includes the airing of all 144 River Cats’ regular season games and all Cats’ post-season action, was announced this morning on KSTE’s Armstrong and Getty Show. The “Voice of the River Cats,” Johnny Doskow, will return to the booth for his 10th season with the team.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with KSTE and the entire Clear Channel family of stations,” said Alan Ledford, River Cats President, General Manager and COO. “Clear Channel Radio has a tremendous presence in this community and brings to the table a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm as it relates to both of our respective businesses.”

"I am absolutely thrilled to be able to welcome the River Cats back to KSTE," said Clear Channel Sacramento Market Manager Jeff Holden. "The community interests of two great teams, the Clear Channel Radio stations and The Sacramento River Cats make this a perfect re-union."

The first River Cats broadcast of the 2010 season on KSTE will be on Thursday, April 8th when the Cats visit the Portland Beavers (Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres) at 7:05 p.m. The River Cats begin their 2010 home schedule on Friday, April 16th when they host the Reno Aces (Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks) at Raley Field at 7:05 p.m.
