Minor league hockey voice settles dispute
(February 5, 2010) Flint Generals hockey is on the air.

Well, it will be Friday night when the Generals visit the Dayton Gems at Hara Arena.

Broadcaster Joey Battaino, who left the Generals last week in a monetary dispute, will be back on the air calling the action against Dayton on the Internet B2 Network after missing three games.

“We’ve come to an amicable agreement and Joey is going to resume the start of career broadcasting,” said general manager Peter South. “We’re very happy to have him back. He does a great job.

“We’re both willing to put the past behind us and move forward.”

Battaino has received some of the money he was owed.
