ESPN anchor Matt Winer joins Turner SportsCourtesy

(January 7, 2010) Turner Sports, a unit of Atlanta-based Turner Broadcasting System Inc., inked veteran ESPN broadcaster Matt Winer to a multi-year deal as a studio host on NBA TV multiple nights a week and for other Turner Sports properties.
He’ll join the network the week of Jan 18, and will also cover Major League Baseball, NASCAR, the NBA, and professional golf. Winer spent more than eight years with ESPN as a SportsCenter anchor and studio host for numerous shows including NBA Fastbreak, NBA Coast-to-Coast, NBA Shootaround and coverage of MLB, NASCAR and the NFL. Winer was also the update anchor for ABC’s College Football Scoreboard. Winer will appear in studio for various programs on NBA TV throughout the regular season, including the network’s programming for the 2010 NBA All-Star Game and coverage for the NBA Playoffs and NBA Draft. Winer will also contribute to NBA.com. _______________________
