Andy Gresh back in Boston
(January 7, 2010) Sports yakker Andy Gresh is back in Boston full time on 98.5 The Sports Hub after a stint in the Apple opining for Sirius and SNY-TV.

“I am uberhappy,” said Gresh, who left his morning gig on Mad Dog Radio’s “The First Word” and SNY’s daily sports show “The Wheelhouse” to bloviate on Boston’s New Home for Sports.

“It was totally a dollars and cents thing,” he told the Track. “Sirius was playing hardball. I did like it there, but I love coming back home to do what I was meant to do.”

Gresh, who never left his Patriots pre- and postgame gig, said he’ll be roaming at 98.5 FM for a while. He’ll sit in with Gary Tanguay and Scott Zolak on their midday show through the playoffs, and he’s already been tapped to co-host the 6:30 p.m. slot Friday before the BU-BC hockey hoedown at Frozen Fenway.

“I’m kind of a vagabond right now,” he said. “But I am flattered and excited to be a part of a station that seems to be more than an adequate challenger in the city’s sports radio game.”

Don’t be fooled. There’s another reason why the divorced Andy decided to stick closer to Patriots Nation 24/7 - a woman!

“She’s a financial advisor from Seekonk who has a couple of little kids,” Gresh gushed. “Betsy’s really helped soften me in some ways so, yeah, I wanted to be around her more. She’s changed my life.”

Oh, no. Does Zo know about this????
