Mike Stone hired at Detroit's Ticket

(December 11, 2009) Mike Stone, a.k.a. Stoney, is returning to the Detroit airwaves on WXYT-FM (97.1). He will be a regular contributor to the station’s lineup, starting with a co-hosting gig from 10 a.m.-noon on Sunday's Lions pregame show.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to join the 97.1 The Ticket team," Stone said in a released statement. "It will be great to work with some old colleagues and new ones. I am looking forward to many great years at CBS and am anxious to reconnect with the best sports fans in the country here in southeastern Michigan."

Most recently, Stone was the afternoon drive co-host of the "Stoney and Wojo" show on WDFN-AM (1130). The show was canceled last winter as WDFN went almost exclusively with a national lineup.
